Part Time Line/Prep Cook.

About the Position

VCC is seeking part-time staff to work in our kitchen. Our space is clean and the staff you’ll be working with is a bunch of friendly team-players who are down-to-earth and professional.

In this job, you’ll be tasked with prepping and cooking food, running orders to customers, running the dishwasher and more. Our kitchen is smaller than most restaurants, with rushes at showtimes, and downtime in between to prep, socialize with your team, etc.

REQUIREMENTS

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience in food service not required, but preferred. Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment, and be self-motivated during less busy times to work on projects.

Tasks may include, but aren’t limited to: preparing food, running food to customers during service, operating a commercial dishwasher, cleaning, restocking, bussing tables, etc.

Part Time Waitstaff.

ABOUT THE POSITION

VCC is seeking a part-time server to work evenings in its comedy showroom.

Our staff is friendly, down-to-earth, and provides excellent customer service throughout our guests’ experience at the venue. Food service experience preferred, but not required.

Must possess: excellent communication skills; self-awareness and motivation; ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure, and empathy for others.

Department of Liquor Control certification will be required for this position. Training will be provided if necessary.

Must be available nights & weekends (Thurs-Sat especially), able to work on feet for 6-8 hours, and able to lift 50 lbs.

Things that are not required, but a “plus”: experience with point-of-sale systems (we use Toast); experience working in a live performance venue; being a fan of live comedy!

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Taking orders from customers in a discreet, courteous and friendly manner before, during and after performances

  • Remaining informed about all food and beverage menus, as well as comedy programming, at the venue

  • Answering guest questions and providing excellent customer service

  • Handling money and utilizing POS system (Toast)

  • Cleaning, bussing, prepping, and running food and beverages

Part Time Bartender.

ABOUT THE POSITION

VCC is seeking a part-time Bartender that is available Friday/Saturday nights. Our staff is friendly, down-to-earth, intelligent, and provides excellent customer service throughout our guests’ experience at the venue. At least two years’ experience in food service is required. Knowledge of craft beer (and to a lesser extent wine), cocktails required. Must possess good verbal communication skills; self-awareness and motivation; ability to work efficiently as part of a team and under pressure in a fast paced environment, and empathy for others.

REQUIREMENTS

Must be available nights and weekends (Fri/Sat especially) and able to work on feet for 6-8 hours. Department of Liquor Control certification is required for this position (training will be provided if needed). Experience working in a live performance venue and/or being a fan of live comedy is a plus.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparing quality beverages with care and speed

  • Providing excellent customer service to guests of the venue

  • Cleaning, organizing and restocking bar equipment and inventory

  • Experience with point of sale systems (Toast a plus)

  • Communicating with waitstaff about guests

  • Remaining informed about talent and menus at the venue

  • Answering guest questions, providing excellent customer service
