Level 1 Sketch Comedy

Explore the structure of comedic sketch writing and discover tools to help you create a wealth of material. Learn how to approach comedic writing with a critical eye in order to improve your work. The class uses skills from improvisation to create sketch material.

Students will be expected to complete assignments and can use their work to create a sketch portfolio.

Culminates in a demo performance at VERMONT COMEDY CLUB.

Policies and Procedures

Cancellation Policy: We will refund 100% of tuition for cancellations made 14 days (or more) before the start of any class. Tuition cannot be refunded on cancellations made fewer than 14 days before the class. Contact us if you wish to cancel.

About the Instructor

Julia DiFerdinando has spent the past 7 years in Chicago teaching and performing with The Second City. She is a Conservatory and Music Conservatory Program graduate and has completed both Improv and Music Improv Ensembles in The Second City’s Severn Darden Graduate Program. Julia has performed on stages throughout the country and even on cruise ships around the world. She has a degree in Theatre from The University of Vermont.
