The Vermont Comedy Club is an entertainment booking company dedicated to bringing smart, up-and-coming, professional comedy to venues throughout New England.
Whether it’s a college or university show, entertainment for your company party or retreat, a special birthday/anniversary performance, or a comedy night at your restaurant, bar or hotel, we’ll work with you and your budget to create a night of hilarious comedy that meets your specific needs.
TYPES OF SHOWS
Standup Comedy. Simple to produce and easy for everyone to enjoy! We have years of experience producing successful standup comedy shows, and a roster of over 100 area standup comedians to choose from. We gather information from you on the type of event and expected audience, and then we assemble a lineup of talent that’s sure to make everyone laugh – a show that is varied and exciting, building toward a professional, hilarious headliner.
Improv Comedy. Do you love Whose Line is It, Anyway? Our professional improv team plays fast-paced, short form games and gets the whole audience in on the fun! We ask for suggestions from the audience and build uproarious scenes based on them – so no two shows are ever alike. We even ask for volunteers from the audience, so the bravest spectators can jump onstage and become stars for a night. Great for company parties, restaurants, colleges and more.
Standup/Improv Hybrid. Can’t decide between a traditional standup comedy show and one with the playfulness and interactivity of improv? Why not do both?
Let the audience sit back and watch professional standup comedy, with a few breaks in the show for improv games to let everyone get in on the action.
Cabaret (Musical Comedy). Our professionally-trained, Broadway-caliber singers will have you tapping your foot and rolling in the aisles. Modeled after the cabaret clubs in New York City, this show combines spoofs of Broadway and pop songs with interactive elements like improv and “Musical MadLibs” (the hilarious game where the audience gets to change the lyrics to a well-known song, and a professional singer has to perform it). If you like music, you’ll love this. Perfect for private events, social clubs, company parties and more.
